User is trying to set an invoice template at the project level in BillQuick via the Invoice Selection - Project screen. However, the changes do not reflect when creating invoices for that project as they still use the previous template.
This happens because the invoice template does not apply to the project by selecting it and clicking OK. You also need to click the Assign Selected button in the Assign Invoice Templates section to apply the changes. This is easy to miss because this section is collapsed by default. Follow these steps to assign the template correctly:
- In the Project screen, select the project for which you want to change the invoice template and click Tools > Invoice Templates.
- In the Invoice Selection - Project screen, expand the Assign Invoice Templates section and select the invoice template you want from the left panel as before.
- Click the Assign Selected button against Standard Invoice in the Assign Invoice Templates section.
- Click OK to return to the Project screen.
The selected template now gets applied for standard invoices of the project.
