Microsoft Windows 10 is shipped with the Arial font family version 7.0.
For the current version of BillQuick, we use 2011 Crystal Reports engine, which does not support the new version of fonts shipped with Windows 10. This causes UI display issues in terms of spacing and overlapping of text and numbers on the reports (as seen below).
While most of you will not experience any issues because our report templates use the Century Gothic font, however, if you want to use Arial, you can try these steps to downgrade the version of the Arial font-family:
- Downgrade your Arial font to Windows 7 version. You can do that by copying the font files from the previous operating system and place them in the Windows 10 operating system font folder.
- Install or acquire Arial Unicode MS that includes higher line-height, omits kerning pairs and adds enough glyphs to cover a large subset of Unicode, thus supporting most Microsoft code pages.
Note: Existing memos will still show the issue unless the font is virtually overridden via a custom code.
