The BillQuick-QuickBooks Smart Match feature can be used to check the matching and active/inactive records for the BillQuick and QuickBooks modules: Activity and Expense Codes, Employees, Vendors, Projects, Time Entry, Invoices and Payments.
This is a great feature for determining which records have the underlying link IDs that are established in the databases of both applications. There are many places within BillQuick where you can see if a record is linked such as in Invoice Review for linked invoices and Expense Log for linked expenses. But these only indicate whether a link exists or not. It does not tell you what record it is linked with. Hence, you should use Smart Match for that.
Link and Unlink Records
Smart Match can be used to link unlinked records and vice-versa. In the example below, the project WW New Systems appears in both databases but they are not linked to each other. Here, you can simply highlight both records on the Unmatched tab and link them using the Link button.
Note: This feature searches both your BillQuick and QuickBooks database for Link IDs in all records. Be prepared for long load times in the event there are many records in both programs, especially for invoices and payments, as some financial data is also brought up in order to make matching decisions more accurate.
