User gets an error message in ArchiOffice/EngineerOffice 20xx:
User Not Recognized
#1: To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
1. Open the IIS Manager on the server.
2. Expand the pane on the left and select Application Pools.
3. Right-click on the AO20xxAppPool and select Advanced Settings.
4. On the Advanced Settings screen, set the Load User Profile option to True.
5. Repeat the same procedure for AO20xxReportCenterAppPool.
6. Next, open a Command Prompt and type: IISRESET
or simply reboot the server.
#2: This error can be caused by reserved characters in the SQL Server password that you are using to connect ArchiOffice to your SQL Server database. To fix this, you need to alter your SQL Server password. Only letters, numbers, hyphens, and underscore should be used. Please contact Technical Support for assistance in changing this password.
#3: Reapply folder permissions to the folder on your server in which ArchiOffice is installed. To do that:
1. Find the main ArchiOffice20XX folder under C:\Program Files (x86)\BQE Software.
2. Right-click the ArchiOffice20XX folder and select the Properties > Security tab.
3. Click the Advanced button and then click Change Permissions.
4. Select the check box “Replace all child object permissions with inheritable permissions from this object”.
5. Click OK. Click Yes if you get a warning message.
#4: Another solution to the issue is:
1. Open the IIS Manager on the server machine.
2. Expand the pane on the left and select Application Pools.
3. Click AO20XXAppPool to select it; then click the Recycling option on the right.
4. On the Recycling screen, clear the “Regular time intervals” check box and check the “Specific time” option.
5. You might want to set the times to just before and after your regular business hours. In this example, we have set it to 6 am and 6 pm.
6. Repeat the same procedure for AO20XXReportCenterAppPool.
7. Next, open the Command Prompt and type IISRESET or just reboot the server.
