Users receive different errors when trying to do the following after installing the latest BillQuick service pack:
- save a time entry
- view Chart of Accounts (shows $0 running balance)
- run A/P reports
- process manual invoices
- enter expenses
- save payments
As a part of the latest service pack update, the database structure was modified because of adding the Payment Date and Payment Type fields to the Transaction table, and also modifying the report views. The above errors are related to these modifications. The person who installed the service pack first might not have the permission to modify the database schema.
To resolve the above issues, you need to optimize your BillQuick database tables and views. To do that:
1. Go to the Utilities menu in BillQuick.
2. Click Optimize > Optimize Time Entry Table, Optimize Expense Log Table, Optimize Other Tables and Optimize Views. Running these utilities will modify the database schema.
