Sometimes a user gets the below error message upon opening BillQuick, or when creating or opening an Access/standard database:
"Could not delete from specified tables."
"Could not delete from specified tables."

BillQuick is unable to communicate with the database due to one or more of the following:
- The computer's user account does not have sufficient security rights to the folder in which the database is located. (See 1)
- The folder or database is checked as ‘Read-only’. (See 2)
- The database has been automatically blocked by your computer’s security settings. (See 3)
The solutions could be:
#1. You will need to log into a computer on your network as an ‘Administrator’ to edit the user's security rights.
a. Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the folder where your database is located, right-click on it and select Properties.
b. Go to the Security tab. Select the User Account you were logged in with and check the box ‘Full Control’.
c. Click Apply to make the change and OK to close.
#2. Using Windows Explorer, you can change the permission for the user.
a. Navigate to the folder where your database is located, right-click on it and select Properties.
b. Un-check the Read-Only check box and click Apply.

c. If prompted, select ‘Apply changes to this folder, subfolders and files’ and click OK.
d. Click OK on the next screen to close.
#3. Using Windows Explorer, provide access to your company database.
a. Navigate to the folder where your database in located, right-click on it and select Properties.

b. If available, click on the ‘Unblock’ option.


c. Click Apply to make the change and OK to close.
