User has a few invoices that ended up not getting paid for and marked them as zero using client discount in QuickBooks. But when user gets them into BillQuick, they still show up as open invoices in Invoice Review and on the Aging Summary report. How to correct this?
A Credit Memo for bad debt in either BillQuick or QuickBooks is preferable to the discount option that you use. You can also write-off the amount in BillQuick via the Payment screen and then transfer it to QuickBooks. Make a payment with the amount outstanding but choose ‘Write-Off’ instead of check or cash as the Pay Method. You can then transfer your payment to QuickBooks and it will shows up as a write-off there as well. This works better for accounting and reports as it shows up properly instead of a $0 invoice amount.
