You can set up appropriate security permissions for your project managers using the Security screen.
1. If you want the project managers to view only those projects in the Project screen which they manage, disable or uncheck the “Allow Read, Update, Delete for all Employee data” security for the Project module.
Note: This still allows the manager to access other projects for time and expense entry. Access to projects for time and expense is determined by the Project Control or Employee Control settings.
2. Next, if you want the project managers to view all projects but not edit them, uncheck the "Allow Update" security.
3. To allow managers access to specific projects only for time and expense entry, use either Project Control/Project-Assign tab or Employee Control.
Note: Employee Control takes precedence over Project Control, if both are used.
4. You can choose to enable or disable Employee Control in the desired screens, say enabled in Time Entry and Timer but disabled in Expense Log.
