Every time a user opens BillQuick, it prompts to download the latest update. This happens even after the update is downloaded and installed.
The most common reason for this is that the user has installed BillQuick in a folder other than the default folder at C:\Program Files\BillQuick20xx or the one specified by the user in User Preferences.
You must download the full version of BillQuick from our web site and install that. From that point onward, the installer will know where you installed BillQuick and it will then update the correct folder.
This issue can also be resolved in this way:
Typically, the Registry key value is set to -1 or 0 based on whether an update is available or not. It seems that somehow the registry value is not getting reset.
Set the value of RunUpdate registry key to 0. The RunUpdate string key will be found under the follow registry tree:
