You can set up accounts for expense codes/items in BillQuick prior to the data transfer with MYOB:
1. In BillQuick, open the Expense Codes screen from the View menu.
2. Using the field chooser, show the Expense Account and Income Account fields on the grid. Close the field chooser.
3. Make sure both the accounts are specified and add any new expense codes, if required. For example, Rent.
4. Next, open the BillQuick-MYOB Sync Settings screen from the Integration menu, MYOB.
5. Select the Account Assignment tab and click Expense Accounts on the left.
6. Click the expense code for which you want to set or change the account, say Rent.
7. Select the desired Income Account, i.e., Rental Income, for it and then click Save.
8. Now enter an expense against a project and approve it for billing.
9. In the Billing Review screen, select that project and process an invoice with that expense.
10. In the Invoice Review screen, highlight this invoice and click Sent To MYOB on the button bar.
11. Open MYOB and go to its Sales Register.
12. Double-click on the invoice transfered from BillQuick to view its details. It should be posted in the correct account (Rental Income in this case).
