There are many projects that are old and no longer used in BillQuick. These projects make it hard to search through the project drop-down list.
You can make these projects inactive in the Project screen. This can be done by changing the status from active to inactive under the general tab for that project. To change the status of more than one project at a time, use the Change option in the Project screen by clicking on the Change button on the screen toolbar.
Else, move projects out of BillQuick into an archive file that can be restored at a later date. To do this go to Utilities Menu>Archive and Restore Data.
There are two options:
- Archive the client and all associated data under that client.
- Archive the project and all associated data under that project.
Select the appropriate option and select which projects/clients you would like to archive. You can select multiple projects by holding down the Ctrl key while selecting. When done choosing the projects you would like to archive, click Begin.
When you are ready to work on these projects again, you can go to the same screen and choose Restore. You will then see all the archived projects.
