After enabling TLS 1.2 on Windows Server, user has not been able to connect to the BillQuick or Web Suite database. They are getting the following SSL Security error when logging into BillQuick or Web Suite.
To resolve this issue, System cryptography must be enabled on the web server hosting the database.
On the web server:
1. Open Local Computer Policy > Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies > Security Options on your web server.
2. Set “System cryptography: Use of FIPS compliant algorithms..." to "enabled" and run gpupdate /Force from an elevated command prompt (as Administrator).
Note: After this change, the server requires a reboot.
3. Under Run command, type gpEdit.msc.
This should resolve the issue.
