Sending Time Entry error prevents time from syncing to QuickBooks Online

Problem: Sending time entry from BillQuick Online to QuickBooks Online fails and lists the following error in the Sync Log:

SENDING TIMEENTRY - START - 10/4/2017 12:28:15 PM
Error in Time Entries transfer to QuickBooks:--
Error: Error transfering Time Entries to QuickBooks Online TEID=1
Error: ValidationException was thrown. : A business validation error has occurred while processing your request:
Business Validation Error: An account you chose for a billable expense doesn't have an income account associated with it. Before you save this transaction, you need to make that association, or the income won't be reported correctly.
Tip: Open a new browser window, edit the account and make the association, and then Save in this window.

Cause: This happens because the user manually created a service in QuickBooks Online and an activity item in BillQuick Online, and then used the Smart Match utility to link them.

Solution: Follow these steps to resolve this issue:

1. In QuickBooks Online, go to Products and Services and select Edit for the item in question.
2. Check the box labeled "I sell this product/service to my customers". 


3. Also, verify that the Income account is set up properly.
4. Save your changes.
