Discount amount not excluded from bill amount

Problem: When applying a discount to an invoice, the discounted amount doesn’t seem to be excluded from the total bill amount in BillQuick. Also, the report displays Net Bill amount including the discounted service fee. Discount doesn’t seem to be reflected in the bill total.

Solution: In BillQuick, you can view the original bill amount (before discount) as well as the actual amount billed (after discount) so as to determine earned income. The standard Invoice Register report shows Net Bill amount after applying discount. The report is available from the Reports menu > Billing. If you are not able to view the correct bill amount, run the Recalculate Account Summaries option from the Utilities menu.
